FAQs
Why is there a player’s fee?
1
Player fees support coaching, facilities, equipment, competition costs, and program operations. As an independent club, Havoc Volleyball does not receive school or district funding. Optional fundraising opportunities will be available to help offset a portion of a player’s fee. Businesses can also sponsor either an individual athlete or the whole team (with sponsorship amount spread evenly among players). Please have potential sponsors contact us at director@havocvolleyball.org for more information.
There will be a parent meeting once rosters are set to address fees and other policies.

Yes, club volleyball is separate from school programs. Playing multiple programs is allowed as long as schedules don’t conflict.

Injuries are addressed individually. Fee refunds for injury are partial and case-by-case. Uniform costs will not be refunded.
The season will last approximately 6 months. Tryouts will be held in late November/early December with practices starting in mid-to-late December. Practices will be twice per week for 2 hours each practice. An additional third practice may be added depending on facility availability. All practices are mandatory.
All communications will be through an app such as SportsEngine, GameChanger, etc. Parents will have the director’s phone number for emergencies/fast contact and email is always available for non-urgent questions: director@havocvolleyball.org
If an athlete has a question relating to their playing or how they can improve skills/increase playing time, we strongly encourage them to speak with their coach directly in-person. The Director should only be contacted by parents or athletes if they feel their concerns are unaddressed.
At Havoc Volleyball, our culture is built on skill development, accountability, and competitive excellence.
Player development comes first. Our club emphasizes winning, but not at the expense of development. Playing time is earned (see above) and not based on participation alone. While competitive, we still emphasize enjoyment, camaraderie, and personal growth.
We strive to bring club volleyball to a community that currently lacks it, keeping it attainable for dedicated, motivated athletes. Players, parents, and coaches are expected to uphold sportsmanship, respect, and positive communication at all times.
There will be two teams (14U and 16U) with 11 athletes on each team.
All tournaments or power leagues we attend will be AAU sanctioned with a goal of 6 or more competitions per team.
Since we are an AAU-sanctioned club, all athletes, coaches, and staff will be AAU-certified.
Team placement is competitive, and not every athlete will be offered a roster spot. Decisions are made based on tryout evaluations and team needs. If an athlete is not selected, families will be notified and may receive feedback or recommendations for continued development when available.
Athletes may be placed on a waitlist based on tryout evaluations and roster needs. If a roster spot becomes available, families on the waitlist will be contacted. Waitlist placement does not guarantee a team spot.
